Are We There Yet?
In a dream, a large group of about 10 people, including myself, were going somewhere. We seemed to know the destination, had a strict schedule that was important to keep, and we were moving as a group towards it. But one of our group members wanted to stop at a store and it took them a long time to purchase what they wanted. Another group member wanted to stop at a restaurant to eat. While we were at the restaurant, another member saw someone they knew and joined their large dinner party. One of our members went to the bar, and another saw someone famous and joined the line for an autograph. Me and another member of our group waited impatiently by the door as we needed to get on our way to the destination. I was beginning to feel really uncomfortable that we needed to get on our way but were being delayed by others’ distractions.
Interpretation: The Spiritual Journey is a personal venture, of which the spirit, soul and body of each individual must solely embark on. It is based on the individual’s original decision to answer the divine call for their life. The passage through the events will conclude and the believer emerges as a new being, existing on the earth, identifying with the heavenly environment, and living as purposed by the divine plan. There are people that we will walk with, or that will walk with us for seasons, however, the journey cannot be completed as a ‘group’, as each believer must follow the path they are being shown, which is different from others’ opinions or experiences. Running as a group can easily delay a believer’s forward progress if they must stop and wait for others to catch up, get serious or stop being distracted. Accepting the invitation requires total commitment by each believer as an individual.
