Familiar Faces, Familiar Places
I have been having numerous dreams over several years’ time. In these dreams are people and places from the past. In one dream it may be an elementary teacher or a high school friend, in another it was a college ex-boyfriend. I have had several that are former co-workers from as long as 20 years ago. Some dreams include relatives who may or may not still be alive. Several dreams have had social acquaintances or people who have just simply passed through my life during a particular season. However, sometimes these dreams may just be prior experiences or places where I spent some time, whether it be a brief period like a shopping mall or a party, or for longer periods of time such as house I lived in. Whatever the face or place, it is familiar to me, but the dream just does not seem to have any significant meaning or message. I am wondering if these dreams are about unresolved issues, unreconciled to God, or perhaps holds something I should repent of. But as I search my heart, pray for understanding, and repent for things that I may have forgotten about, I continue to have these dreams and am questioning what these dreams are supposed to be teaching me.
Interpretation: Dreams are an important part of the Spiritual Journey. These types of dreams imply that memories are stored up, remain active and depend on that for present-day judgments and determinations. A lot of their activity shows up in prejudices. When they do show up, you will recognize them, and be able to dislodge them and their activity from your life. Once you begin the process of elimination, those kinds of dreams will cease.
