Dreams and visions can range from severe to humorous, depending on the dreamer’s attention to the Spiritual Journey.

In this particular dream, I was trying to put on some underwear that wasn’t fitting properly, and I couldn’t figure out the cause. One leg felt too large, while the other too small. And the fabric stretched the wrong way and was made of a material that was not conducive to easy donning. The elastic seemed strange, but I knew the underwear was mine, so I finally labored and got them on.

Then, of course, putting on my pants became a challenge. When I finally got them on, they didn’t fit right. I tried to adjust and smooth them out, but the foundation of my underwear affected how my pants fit. The pants pulled at the waistband, bunched up the pockets and the legs didn’t hang straight. My shirt went on next and after trying to straighten it out and tuck it in, it turned out it didn’t hang right because the pants were wrong—because the underwear was wrong.

Interpretation: Our foundation must always be right. If something in our foundation is not befitting to the Christ-like nature, a light will shine on this particular belief, idea or prejudice that has long been erroneously nurtured and protected. Until this is addressed, nothing is going to work right—fit right—in our new lives, no matter how hard we try to straighten things out ourselves. Be quiet and allow the Spirit to reveal what exactly is the problem with the foundation. He is there to resolve an internal spiritual conflict or dispute and the believer must cooperate in order to move forward in the Spiritual Journey into the Christ-like nature that is required to live a new existence.
