The Missing Piece

The Missing Piece

Have you ever felt as though something was missing in your life? Many people feel like this and try to fill the void in different ways. Some look for satisfaction in a relationship or by using drugs or alcohol. Others join a church or are baptized. But the only path to true, lasting peace and joy is through a personal relationship with a contemplative man with a missing puzzle pieceGod through Jesus Christ.

When you accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, God forgives everything you’ve done that didn’t please Him and gives you a new start. He fills the emptiness in your heart with His never-ending love. You become part of His family, and Jesus becomes to you a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Does this sound too good to be true? It’s not. God offers you this kind of relationship with Him through Jesus. You simply need to ask Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of your life.

The Bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Pray this prayer: God, I come to You in Jesus’ Name. I’m tired of having this emptiness in my heart. Nothing I’ve done has filled it. I admit that I am a sinner—and that I haven’t lived right in Your sight—and I need help. I need a Savior. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead, and I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Thank You that according to Your word, I am now saved. Thank You for forgiving everything I’ve done that didn’t please You. Thank You for filling my heart with Your love. Thank You for giving me a new start with Jesus! Amen.

You may not know what to do next. Start with prayer. Begin reading the Bible and reach out to a local church. You can also find information on next steps with books such as New Christian’s Handbook or I’m a Christian—Now What? Welcome to God’s family!
